Wilbur Younglove

Wilbur Younglove, a resident of Valparaiso for 25 years, was born at West Stockbridge, Berkshire county, Mass., Oct. 25, 1835. He was married to Mary E. Herr, in Valparaiso, February 17, 1859. On Sabbath last, May 8, 1881, after lingering illness from consumption, he expired at the age of 45 years, 6 months, and 13 days. He had been sick about two years and was confined to his house four months. The funeral services were conducted at the M. E. church by Rev. Brakeman, and the remains were interred in the old cemetery. Mr. Younglove was a member of the Hook and Ladder Company and the funeral was under the management of the fire department, all the companies being present in full uniform.
