Emerson Woodruff

Emerson Woodruff, son of the widow Woodruff of this city, died at his home last Sunday, May 18, at 5 o'clock in the evening, after an illness of one week. He was 16 years old on Mrach 14. He was first taken sick with rheumatism, afterward with brain fever, and three days before death exhibited unmistakable symptoms of congestion of the liver. His funeral took place Tuesday at 11 o'clock in the Presbyterian church, the services being conducted by Rev. R. Beer, and the remains were buried in Maplewood Cemetery.
