John Martin Wolf

Death of John M. Wolf.

In our issue of last week we mentioned the death of John M. Wolf, of Boone Grove, Ind. A few words present a complete epitome of most lives, and we wish to say a few timely words concerning the death of a young man so promising.

John Martin Wolf was born at Boone Grove, Ind., Sept. 9, 1856; died

He was always charaterised by an honest, manly openness of purpose, was generous to a fault, made many friends and always kept them. Since the death of his father he had become more and more interested in the management of the large estate, and was the stay of his mother and sister. He inherited much of his father's genius and business tact, and had he lived would have become a leader of his fellows. A more hospitable home and a warmer greating was never extended to the visitor.

His cabinet of stuff birds and other specimens pertaining to natural history is perhaps the finest in Northern Indiana and gave evidence of his culture and genius.

His funeral was largely attended by his friends from all over the county. Elder Shortridge preached the sermon and a quartette composed of the Letherman Bros. and W. H. Holabird furnished the singing.

The family desire us to communicate to the public their sincere thankfulness for the many acts of kindness and sympathy extended to them.
