Smith Wixon
PORTER POINTERS
Smith Wixon, a well known citizen of Porter, died early Wednesday morning, March 17, of consumption and Bright's disease, aged 49 years. Mr. Wixon was born in Laporte county, on February 22, 1848, and came to this county when a young man and has live here ever since. He leaves and wife and five children to mourn his death. Mr. Wixon was married on March 17, 1872, and would have celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary Wednesday had not death called him away so early in the morning. A short service was held at the house and remains taken to Pin Hook, Laporte county, for burial Friday morning. The deceased was an ex-soldier.
