J. R. Wilson

(From Saturday's Daily)
The whole town of Hebron was shocked this morning when it was learned that Dr. J. R. Wilson had met instant death on the Henderson crossing of the Pan Handle, three miles west of that place. The distress spread to this city after the first message was received by telephone at the courthouse. Dr. Wilson was alone, on his way to Leroy to see a patient. It is believed that he did not notice the approaching train from the east, which was the local milk train. Trainmen carried his body to Crown Point, where it lies in an undertaking establishement and where the coroner's inquest is being conducted.

Dr. Wilson leaves a wife. He had no children. He was born near Leroy, and in that vicinity had many relatives. Not until after the unquest will the full details of the accident be known, as these must come from the engineer and fireman whose locomotive ran the unfortunate physician down.

Dr. Wilson, who has long been active in Hebron's business and social life, had reached the age of 48 years.
