Regina Wiesemann

DEATHS
DIED -- At her home in Jackson township, Regina, wife of Frank Wiesemann Sr, Sept. 8, 1892, at 9 o'clock a. m.

The subject of this sketch, the oldest child of Valentine Heer, was born in Dahl, Germany, Sept. 20, 1828, and was married to Franz Wiesemann July 16, 1850, in Olpe, in the Province of Westphalia. She was the mother of seven children, who with their stricken father mourn her loss.

A fond wife, and affectionate mother, a kind, helpful neighbor, and a true christian woman has been taken from our midst. We now realize the force of that old trite query: "What is home without a mother?"

Through the long years of ill health she suffered she bore all pain with patience and christian fortitude and looked for her reward in the home Above. Being fully prepared and receiving the last sacraments of the Church she calmly awaited -- awaited the hour of death, which came peacefully and quietly.

The funeral services were held in St. Patrick's church, Chesterton on Saturday, Sept. 10 o'clock, high mass being celebrated by Rev. Fr. Kroll, who eulogized her many virtues and admonished all to learn this lesson from her life -- To have Charity toward your neighbors; to speak kindly or not speak at all.

May she rest in peace.
