Ed West
A letter received yesterday morning by Postmaster Suman from the yard master of the Hannibal & St. Joseph railroad at Kansas City reports that a young man, an employe of the road, named West had been killed there and inquiring for relatives supposed to be residing in this city. The letter stated no particulars of the death. It was placed in the hands of Mr. Herrick whose mother-in-law is thought to be the unfortunate young man's mother. Mr. Herrick sent a telegram of inquiry, but no reply has been received.
