Emma Vanselow

Mrs. Emma Vanselow.
Mrs. Emma Vanselow, wife of Louis Vanselow, of Jackson township, was almost instantly killed three miles south of Laporte last night by a Valparaiso-bound Gary & Interurban car, which she had flagged for the return home. She failed to get out of the way and was struck. She leaves a husband, three daughters and one son.

Mrs. Vanselow had been spending the day with her daughter, Mrs. Otto Rozean, at South Laporte. She went to the station alone; consequently the exact cause of the accident will never be known. It is possible that she misjudged the distance away of the approaching car through confusion caused by the headlight. Her crushed and bruised body was carried into a nearby home, and death soon followed. The remains were cared for in a Laporte undertaking establishment.
