DOINGS AT HOME.
Last Thursday, a body was reported seen on the beach about two miles east of Miller Station, and Peter Cooley and several other fisherman went down to see if the report was true. They found the body of a man, apparently 30 to 40 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches in height, stout built, wearing a blue and white plaid cotton shirt, a jeans blouse coat, and jeans trousers. His shoes were regular plow shoes. In his pockets were found a round tin tobacco box and two nickles. There was no papers about the body, or anything that would indicate his name. His hair was all out, and his face so disfigured that the features could not be recognized. Mr. Cooley thinks the man had been dead some time, and was probably buried in the sand, and washed out by the waters of the lake. The body had the appearance of being frozen, and it may be that the man had been dead since last fall. The Coroner of Lake County was notified, held an inquest, and the body buried Friday on the beach where found.
