John Tredy
Report of Coroner's Inquest.
State of Indiana, Porter County, ss:
BE IT REMEMBERED, THAT ON THE twenty-ninth day of August, 1881, information was given to me that the dead body of a man lay in Centre township, in said State and County, supposed to have come to his death by violence or casualty, and to ascertain so far as possible the cause and circumstances of said death, witnesses were called and sworn, and their material evidence reduced to writing, signed by myself, and filed in the Clerk's office of said County.
Whereupon, I find decedent's name was John Tredy, that he was 29 years old, of light complexion, five feet eight and one-half inches high, plainly dressed, and that he came to his death brom injuries received by being dragged under his wagon while his horses were funning away, and his person was committed to the charge of his friends for burial.
