Shocking Accident. -- A little daughter of Mr. John Thompson, jr. Livery Stable Keeper, of this city, aged about five years, was so severely burned, on Saturday morning last, that she died in a few hours after the accident. The circumstances, as we are informed are that the little girl with a younger brother, were alone in a room in the second story of the house while the family were at breakfast below. The little girl was in her night clothes, and it is supposed that they were playing with burning paper, and the fire communicated to her clothing, when she started down the stairs with her clothes in flames. She was met by her father, who tore her clothes off soon as possible; but it was too late to save her.
