Mary Stutser

DEATHS
DIED, Feb. 23, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Stutser, wife of William Stutser. The funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 26, from the M. E. church at 1 o'clock.

The deceased parted from this life and entered a better one, we sincerely trust, at 5:45 Tuesday evening. Her death had been expected the last day or two but she hoped for recovery until in the afternoon. She was very weak but rallied several times during the day and seemed to gather strength. But realizing that death was drawing near she called her nearest and dearest to her bedside, gave her last requests, admonished and advised each one kindly and then dismissed them with a long and lingering gaze. She retained her senses until a half hour before she breathed her last. She suffered a great deal all day but her death was very peaceful, and appearing to sleep as in life.

Mrs. Stutser was the mother of three children, one deceased and two living, a daughter, Mrs. J. Affleck and a son residing in Omaha. In response to a telegram he arrived Monday morning.

The family have been singularly afflicted with sickness for some time past. Just two weeks ago grim death claimed one of their loved ones in the person of Mr. David Affleck. They have the warmest sympathy of a large circle of friends.

The funeral will take place Friday to allow, if possible, the coming of relatives from the east.
