DIED,
In Jackson Township on sabbath the 26th ult. Of the same disease, Mr. Sheldon Stoddard in the 67th year of his age. Another of the first settlers of the county gone.
[Note: Sheldon Stoddard's obituary appears below an obituary for Oliver Cowles. Oliver Cowles death was caused by dysentery. Therefore, it is believed that Sheldon Stoddard also died from dysentery (i.e., "same disease.")]
