LAPORTE YOUNG MAN KILLED BY ACCIDENT
Baldo Sommers, 19 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Sommers, prominent Laporte people, died there this morning of injuries sustained yesterday when the Ford which he drove collided with a fast Pan Handle train at Lavrosse. The machine was completely demolished, and the fact that Sommers escaped instant death seemed remarkable. He never regained consciousness. The young man was picked up and carried to a doctor's office, and late in the day his father took him home, after he was called to Lacrosse by the distressing news.
