TALK OF THE TOWN
Mrs. Alex Shanks died Tuesday morning at Lansing, Ill., of consumption. She had been bedfast for the past six months. The funeral was held in Lansing Wednesday and the remains buried there. She leaves a husband and six children. The family formerly lived in Chesterton and are well known here.
