GEORGE SHANER DIES AT HOME IN CHESTERTON
(From Tuesday's Daily)

George Shaner, a pioneer of the north side of the county, in his 96th year, died last night at 11 o'clock at his home in Chesterton, after confinement to his bed for about two weeks. Mr. Shaner fell some time ago and bruised his face. The accident caused him to take to his bed, and weakness of old age brought death. The widow, several children, and a large number of other relatives survive. Burdick was the home of Mr. Shaner before his retirement from business activity.
