Sarah Jane Ritter

Obituary.
On the 2d inst., at her late residence, on Morgan Prairie, Mrs. Sarah Jane Ritter, wife of John Ritter and daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth Hesser, in the thirty-sixth year of her age.

The deceased was born in Carl county, Ohio, June 9, 1849. She was married to John Ritter December 7, 1871, and was the mother of seven children, five of whom are still living. In her early life she united with the Methodist church. During her sickness she was patient and resigned to the will of her Master. As she approached death her faith grew strong, and she died with a cheerful hope of the future. She leaves a devoted husband and five children, with a large circle of friends, to mourn their loss. The funeral services took place on the 3d inst., in the Adams church, on Morgan Prairie, in the presence of a large congregation of friends and neighbors, conducted by Elder E. S. Riley, after which the remains were buried in the Boonegrove cemetery.
