DEATHS
SWANSON -- Johanna Swanson, relict of Joseph Swanson, died at the residence of her mother, Mrs. Pillman in Liberty township on Monday, January 18th. The funeral was held on the 20th inst., the services being conducted in the Baillytown Swedish Lutheran church, and the remains interred in that cemetery.

Mrs. Swanson was postmistress at Old Porter, being appointed to succeed her husband at his death a few years ago. She has been ill, and went to take care of her mother during her late illness, and while there was taken down seriously ill and rapidly succumbed to the grim Destroyer. She leaves six children and many relatives and friends to mourn her demise.
