Carl Johan Pierson
CHESTERTON CHIPS
The death of an old pioneer of this township, Carl Johan Pierson, occurred Oct. 31. Mr. Pierson came to his farm near Furnessville in 1864, and has since made that his home. The direct cause of his death was dropsy. Deceased was 71 years of age and leaves a wife, two sons and one daughter. The funeral was held from the house Thursday, and Rev. A. Austlund officiated. The remains were buried in the Chesterton cemetery.
