Nancy C. Phares

Mrs. Nancy C. Felker, wife of Wm. Felker, of Salt Creek, and daughter of Martin Phares, Esq., died last Tuesday night, from poison taken during mental abberration. Mrs. Felker had been in poor health for years, but during the greater part of the time was able to attend to her household affairs. She took the poison, which was paris green, about noon and went on with her work as usual until the symptoms became noticable, when she told what she had done. She expressed no regret at the act, but said when told that she would die, that that was her object in doing as she had done. Dr. Morrical was summoned as soon as possible, but despite his utmost efforts, her death occurred about midnight. She leaves three small children. Her funeral occurred to-day at 11 o'clock, the services conducted by Elder Overturf.
