August Peterson

PORTER POINTERS.
August Peterson, an aged and respected citizen of Waverly, died at his residence Sunday March 17. Mr. Peterson was stricken with paralysis and apoplexy on March 3, and one side of his body became paralyzed and death finally relieved him of all suffering. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Swedish M. E. church, Rev. A. Nystrom officiating. The remains were buried in the Chesterton cemetery. He leaves a wife, two sons, one daughter and a large circle of friends to mourn his loss. He was 71 years of age and had resided in this township a number of years. The deceased was a brother of Oscar Peterson and father of Axel Peterson, the well known merchant of Chesterton.
