Hannah Pennock

OBITUARIES.
MRS. LEWIS PENNOCK.
Hannah Colby, wife of Lewis Pennock, was born in Plainfield, N. Y., March 10th, 1808, and died near Valparaiso, at the homestead, March 12th, 1883, aged 75 years and 2 days. When about 18 years old she experienced religion and united with the M. E. chuch in St. Lawrence Co, N. Y. She was united in marriage to Lewis Pennock June 3d, 1837, and with her husband came to Porter county, Indiana, in June 1841 and settled on a farm where she spent the remainder of her days, discharging the duties faithfully of wife, mother, citizen and Christian. She leaves her husband and five children all settled with their families near by, two having preceded her to the better land. In her death the church has lost a worthy member and heaven has gained a redeemed soul.
