MRS. ERIC PAYNE DIES SUDDENLY WITH DIPHTHERIA
Mrs. Eric Payne, about 25 years old, died yesterday at her home in Englewood, from diphtheria. Mr. and Mrs. David Payne, parents of Mr. Payne, the husband of the young woman, had not known of the illness until the tidings of death reached them this morning. Mrs. Payne leaves no children. She was married only three years ago. The funeral was private and was held today.
