Tom Miles

TALK OF THE TOWN
Tom Miles has passed away. He died July 1, at 6:30 p. m. He was sick just one week before his death, and was 65 years old. The funeral was held Monday, July 3rd, services being conducted in Lundberg's undertaking room, Revs. Carlson and Jessie, officiating. Miles came here from Laporte, and at one time was a leading citizen and contractor of Northern Indiana. Some years ago he met with a series of business reverses that rendered him brankrupt, and from that on he drifted downward, until for the past few years he has been penniless. For the past ten years he has been a terrible sufferer, and death was to him a positive relief. In fact he many times expressed a wish that death would come. He has a family in Findlay, Ohio, and two married daughters in Illinois.
