Chequeuk Lodge, No. 56, I. O. O. F.
At a regular meeting of this Lodge, held on Saturday evening, Jan. 10, 1852, the following Preamble and Resolution were adopted.
Whereas on the 24th of Dec. 1851, in the goodness of an all wise Providence, he was pleased to remove from our midst, by the hand of death, the wife of our Beloved Brother Alex. McDonald, by which event we are admonished of the uncertainty of life, the certainty of death, and of the necessity of each and all of us being prepared to meet our Grand Master above.
Resolved, That we tender to our afflicted Brother & Family our sincere and heartfelt sympathy in this his great bereavement.
