Lister

TALK OF THE TOWN
Died, Feb. 9th youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. James Lister, aged seven month's. The funeral occurred from the house Saturday Feb. 11, Rev. Jessie officiating. The little one was sick but a few days till death that stern and silent usher for eternity beckoned it away. But fond parents think it not as a treasure lost, but one whose value is enhanced. The bud had a higher and grander destiny than to bloom on earth for it is now a flower of heaven. And while you were not permitted to mark the daily unfolding of its little life about your fire side find best comfort in the tought that its counsel is now of angels and that its feet will not be soiled by traveling this dusty roadside of life where the road is rough with rocks and thistles spring in the way. For in this life of humility how much of our knowledge has to learn in a school of grief, and the history of a life is but a story of a struggle to that life which is to be. Therefore in this dark trial sorrow only in this that its presence is no longer with you, and rejoice in the treasure that is hence, and awaits to welcome you to the joys of heaven.

A FRIEND.
