Melvin Lewis

The body of Melvin Lewis, found, as related in the Vidette of last week, in Louisiana, where he had gone, with marks upon his person indicating foul play, was forwarded to this city, arriving yesterday morning. At 1 p. m. it was taken by Undertaker Lepell to the Luther cemetery, in Washington township, where the coffin was opened for identification of the body, and then interred. Funeral services will be held at a subsequent time not yet appointed. Nothing definite has yet been learned concerning the manner of his supposed murder, nor does it appear certain that he was murdered.
