MRS. ANNIE BURCKHART DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
(From Monday's Daily)

Mrs. Annie Burckhart, wife of Jacob Burckhart, of Porter township, died Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the age of 61 years 4 months and 28 days. The illness that brought death kept her bedfast for six weeks.

The funeral services will be held at the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. C. W. Baer officiating. Interment will be in the Ludington cemetery, which is located on the Burckhart farm.

Mrs. Burckhart was born in Holstein, Germany, and came to American with her parents at the age of three years. Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Martin, George and Jay, and one daughter, Mrs. Lena Schumaker, all living within the confines of this county. John Lenburg, of East Gary, and Claus Lenburg, residing here, are brothers of the deceased. Ten grandchildren are left to mourn her loss.

Mr. and Mrs. Burckhart were married February 9, 1873, and ever since have lived in Porter township.
