Robert Lansing
DIED -- In this village, on the 28th ult., Mrs. MARTHA LANSING, in the 79th year of her age. The deceased was a native of Vermont, but for many years resided in Guernsey county, Ohio. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of this place, and was highly esteemed by her friends. Her end was peace, for she fell asleep in Jesus.
Also, on the 4th inst., Mr. ROBERT LANSING, husband of the above, in the 81st year of his age. Mr. Lansing was a native of New York, but spent the prime of life in Ohio. When he saw the companion of his life expire, he told his children that he had no wish longer to live. Accordingly he survived her but one week. The venerable couple had, within a few years, removed to this county, to spend the evening of their days with their children. Overcome with the infirmities of four score years, they have gone from our midst. Ps. 90:12.
