Joseph Klein

CHESTERTON CHIPS.
Joseph Klein died Sunday morning at 9 o'clock, after a brief illness of Inflamation of the bowels. He had about recovered, and on Thursday before, ate a hearty meal prepatory to going to work the following day, and took a relapse, from which the doctors could not save him. Klein was a deaf mute, who came here from Indianapolis, and attended school, where he met his wife, who was formerly Mary Jane Carrig, who is also mute and deaf. He was a highly respected citizen, and a generous hearted man. His death is a severe blow to his wife, who is unconsolable. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the services being conducted at the residence by Rev. Weston, and the remains interred in the Chesterton cemetery.
