Amanda Kinney

Obituary.
Died, at their family residence on North Morgan street in Valparaiso, on Sunday the 16th inst., of quick consumption, Mrs. Amanda Kinney in the 36th year of her age. The deceased Amanda Bryarly was born in Porter Co., Indiana, July 3d, 1850. Was married to Robert Kinney September 22nd, 1882. This makes three deaths in the family in a little over 5 years. Her mother dying May 21st, 1880 and her father Jan. 11, 1883. She was not a member of any church, but sometime before her death professed faith in Christ as her saviour, in her last hours said she was trusting in Christ for her hope a better life. She leaves her husband with an infant child, on sister, four brothers and a large circle of friends to mourn their loss. The funeral services took place at their residence on the 18th inst. In the presence of a large congregation, being conducted by Elder Riley of the Baptist church, after which the remains were buried in the Luther cemetery four miles east of the city.
