William Kenney

LOCAL.
Mr. Wm. Kenney, a farmer who had lived several years on his own land a mile or two northeast of this city, and during the last year on Mr. A. V. Bartholomew's farm one and a half miles north on the Chesterton road, and who had been sick with dropsy several weeks, died last Saturday evening, and the funeral was attended at the family's present residence last Monday at 10 A. M. He left a wife and seven children, most of them adults, to mourn their loss. Mr. Kenney was an honest, sober, industrious and sensible man, and had acquired a small farm of his own, and other moderate means for his family's subsistence, and in prospect of death had made a very judicious disposition of it by will, so as to have it go chiefly to the part of his family least capable of providing for themselves, he having made such will on Friday, the day before his death. We bespeak for the widow and fatherless the sympathy of all their acquaintances.
