NEWS OF THE COUNTY.
KOUTS, Ind., May 19. -- Wm. Kee, ex-trustee of Pleasant township, died very suddenly at his home in Kouts, on the 12th, of heart disease. His death was a surprise to the community, and his loss is generally mourned. The funeral was held on the 14th. Deceased came to Kouts several years ago from Valparaiso ago and was a blacksmith by trade. He was well known throughout the county, acquiring considerable notoriety in his famous attempt to place a school house here in spite of considerable opposition. He leaves a wife to mourn his death.
