Lydia Jones

Lydia Jones' Funeral.
We seldom feel the presence of death unless it comes to those whom we love. We took with cold curiosity on the passing bier and give slight sympathy to those who weep. But some there are, whose death reaches out, and through the cords woven into many hearts by a consistent and kindly life, the regret and sorrow seem well nigh universal. So it was with Lydia Jones. Her funeral was largely attended and many sad hearts beat in sympathy with the stricken parents. Kind hands decorated the casket with beautiful flowers and arranged in its shroud the form so lovely in death. Rev. N. L. Brakeman, conducted the solemn service, and followed by a large procession of mourners the cortege moved slowly to its last resting place in the Kimball Cemetery.
