NEWSY NUGGETS.
DIED. -- At her home in Chesterton on Tuesday forenoon, April 8th, at 8 o'clock, Mrs. Sophia Johnson, after an illness of five days. On Thursday last she was taken down with lung fever, and though attended by the best physicians, she constantly grew worse, and her death was hastened by pleurisy setting in. So swiftly did she sink that the family hardly had time to summon the children who were away, and the eldest son Charles did not get home to see his mother alive. The funeral will be held to-day (Thursday) at 2 o'clock, services to be held in the Swedish M. E. church. Mrs. Johnson was one of the early settlers of Chesterton, and was the relict of Oliver Johnson, who died some years ago. She leaves three children and one adopted child to mourn her loss.
