Charley Hylander
CHESTERTON CHIPS
Charley Hylander, a former well known citizen of Chesterton, died in Chicago Monday. My Hylander was born in Sweden May 2, 1849. He came to Chesterton in 1860 and ran a restaurant from 1874 to 1881 when he with his brother August, engaged in the merchantile business. In 1886 Mr. Hylander was the democratic nominee for Representative of Porter county, but was defeated. He left here in 1893, locating in Chicago. He leaves a wife and three children. He was buried Wednesday in Chicago.
