Clara Ann Hineline

DIED.
HINELINE. -- Thursday morning, August 26th, 1875, of congestion of the brain, Mrs. Clara Ann Hineline, wife of Mr. Addis Hineline, of the eastern part of Liberty township, in the twenty-fifth year of her age.

The sudden death of Mrs. Hineline was indeed a shock. The Sunday previous, apparently in perfect health, she attended, in company with her husband and two little children, the Sunday School in the vicinity of her childhood. Here she met the friends of her school days; here she united with brothers and sisters and husband in reading of the scriptures; here, too deeply affected to so much as bid them farewell, she parted from her two far-dwelling cousins; here, remarked that she would come again the next sabbath, she took leave of her friends for all time. Ere the close of the week her cold, lifeless remains, enclosed in the pitiless casket, were borne, followed by a sorrowing concourse, into the school room; the requiem was sung; the burial discourse announced; then, slowly, the train went its way to the graveyard and laid the spiritless body in the cold earth. And thus early has ended the life of Clara; the two infant children lose a guiding mother; thus a husband loses an affectionate wife; thus kindred are left weeping and friends saddened. So it is with mortals.*
