C. A. Hemblet

REPORT OF THE CORONER'S INQUEST.
State of Indiana; Porter County, ss:

BE it remembered that on the 22nd of April, 1885, information was given to me, that the dead body of a man lay in Centre Township, Porter County, Indiana, supposed to have come to his death by accident or casualty, and to ascertain, so far as possible, the cause and circumstances of said death witnesses were called and examined, their material evidence reduced to writing, signed by myself and given to the County Clerk of Porter County. Whereupon, I find decedent's name to be C. A. Hemblet, 40 years old, 5 ft. 11 inches high, weight 180 lbs., who came to his death by reason of injuries received from striking his head against the spout of a tank at Crooked Creek Crossing, on the night of April 22nd, 1885, about 9 p. m., while in the act of getting from the top of Caboose into the side window of same, said blow breaking his neck, causing instant death. The body given in charge of undertaker for burial.

A. P. LETHERMAN, Coroner.
