John Hallberg
Obituary.
Mr. John Hallberg, an old settler, died of old age at his home about a mile and a half west of Porter, Thursday July 5th. The deceased was born in Sventorp's parish, Skaraborgs lan, Sweden, May 30th, 1825, and came to America Aug. 1st, 1866 and has resided here nearly ever since. His age was 69 years one month and five days. An aged wife, two sons and other relatives are left to mourn his death. The funeral was held from the house the following day where a large concourse of friends had gathered to pay their last respect to the departed and to sympathize with the bereaved family. The remains were interred in the Chesterton cemetery.
