John Grimes

John Grimes, a boy 11 years old, of this city, while playing at the paper-mill last Thursday evening, had the misfortune to fall into a vat of boiling water, and got scalded so badly that he died last Saturday afternoon. His funeral was conducted last Sunday afternoon at St. Paul's Church by Rev. M. O'Reilly, and the remains were buried in the new Catholic Cemetery. The Holy Angel Society, of which he was a member, turned out in body and marched as far as Mr. Conrad Horn's residence. This is a warning to boys to keep away from dangerous places. His bereaved parents have the sympathy of the community.
