Alfred Graves

Mr. Alfred Graves was buried at Furnessville, Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 4. He was working at Dowagiac, Mich., and died suddenly of pneumonia after an illness of but four days. His wife and four young children are at Furnessville, and are left in very destitute circumstances indeed. It may be necessary for the mother to place the children out, if good families can be found for them. There are three girls and one boy, ages ranging from 13 to 5. This makes three deaths that have occurred in this family within the past few months. Mr. Graves' father, himself and his step son Morley Burroughs who was killed by being struck by a locomotive on the Michigan Central railroad.
