William Gottschalk

PORTER POINTERS
August Gottschalk and son William, fishermen, were drowned in Lake Michigan near Michigan City. They had started for their nets in a small boat, and when well outside, the boat was capsized by the heavy sea, and both men perished. The father's body was recovered almost immediately, but the remains of the son were not found for several hours. The accident leaves a widow and eight children ranging from three months to 17 years, to battle with the problem of life and in destitute circumstances.
