CALLED TO PENNSYLVANIA BY MOTHER'S DEATH

Robert Ewing, of the university office, left this morning for Newton-Hamilton, Pa., after receiving a telegram conveying the sad news that his mother, Catherine Ewing, 81 years old, had died at her home there last night at 7 o'clock. Death came suddenly, but nothing further was learned here. Mr. Ewing died about four years ago. Besides the son here, three daughters survive.
