Died, on the 1st of September, Mrs. Thankful Crow at the family home one mile north of Valparaiso, in the 66th year of her age. The deceased was born in Massachuetts September 20th, 1807. In 1825 she was married to Harry Crow in Lebanon, N. Y. At the age of 15 she became a Christian and united with the Presbyterian church. Mrs. Crow was an affectionate wife, a good mother and a kind neighbor. She had lived on the place on which she died 38 years. Many of these years were years of great suffering, but her life closed in peace. She expressed full confidence in Christ the Saviour of the world and through him looked for a home beyond the tomb. Her funeral services took place at the school-house at Cook's Corners on Sabbath afternoon at 2 o'clock, being conducted by Elder Riley of the Baptist church.
