William Cronacan

Died, on last Monday, at 2:25 P. M., after a few days' illness, Wm. Cronacan, aged 67. His funeral service was conducted by Rev. M. O'Reilly yesterday, and a very touching sermon was also delivered on the occasion, which moved a great many to tears. After the services were over one of the largest processions, composed of Catholics and non-Catholics, that ever passed through the streets of Valparaiso, accompanied the highly respected remains of Mr. Cronacan to St. Paul's new cemetery, where they were consigned to an earthly tomb, therefore -- main until the day of judgment when we shall all rise with the same bodies we had in this life. May his soul rest in peace. *
