WHITE SETTLEMENT.
Monday, the 9th, the people of this vicinity were startled by the sad report of the death of Mrs. Cobb. She had been sick for a long time previous to her death with the typhoid fever. Scarcely had a week passed ere the hand of death was laid upon a little boy of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Merine. The ravages of the disease were too strong for their frail constitution and trusting in their Redeemer they gently left this world with all its cares and sorrows to dwell in that better land.
