Amy M. Child

DIED,
In this village on the 21st inst., of Lung Fever, Mrs. Amy M. Child, aged 25 years and 11 months.

The deceased was a native of Susquehanna Co., Pa., but has been for the last sixteen years a resident of this place. Five years ago, by the death of Otis T. Child, she was left a widow, with an infant son. The last two years of her life she was a consistent Christian, and a member of the M. E. Church; and a short time before she breathed her last, she said that the Lord had never left or forsaken her. She was willing, and well prepared to die. Her end was peaceful -- there being neither struggle or groan. So softly did the spirit steal away that the weeping friends scarcely knew when it took its final departure for the brighter world above.

She leaves two sisters, her little son, and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss.
