Joseph Chambers

OBITUARY.
Joseph Chambers, who died on Monday, in Valparaiso, was born in Erie Co., Ohio, March 29th, 1834. Came to this state with his parents in 1848. He was a member of a family of six children, all of whom, with their parents, are dead except two. He was a soldier in the late war and drew a small pension from the government. He had been painfully afflicted for many years and his death was truly a release. He leaves a wife, two children, and a brother and sister to mourn his loss.

The funeral services took place at Blachley's Corners on Tuesday at 3:30 p. m., Elder Riley conducting the exercises, after which his remains were laid in the burying ground near by.
