Scott Brierly
DIED.
At his residence 6 miles east of Valparaiso on the 11th instant, Mr. Scott Brierly, in his 83rd year.
The deceased was born in Crawford county, Pa., March 28th, 1803, was married to Lavina Parr Sept. 11, 1857, and moved to Richland county, O., where they remained till 1848, when they came to Indiana. His wife died a little more than 2 years ago. They had 8 children, 6 of whom, 4 sons and 2 daughters, are now living. The deceased was a good citizen, living in harmony with all his neighbor and a loving father. His death is a great loss to the family. It removed the center of attraction and association to the children. The funeral took place at Luther's schoolhouse, E. S. Riley conducting the services.
