Ibie Louise Brakeman

Church Items.
METHODIST.
The Northwest Christian Advocate of Chicago, says:
"News come to us of the death of Mrs. Ibie L., wife of Rev. N. L. Brakeman, of Valparaiso, Ind., who died on Saturday last. We have no particulars. She was a sympathetic, earnest, beautiful Christian woman. The relation of husband and wife, in their case, was peculiary tender and intimate. Those who knew them know that the lose, by either, of the other, would be like the end of the world. She was a second nature to her husband, his ally to the last drop in her veins. During his varied services she was ever his best helper, and especially during his services as army chaplain, and afterward as Presiding Elder in the South, in Mississippi, and at Baton Rogue and New Orleans, Louisiana, where she seconded all his efforts and entered into all his plans."

Such a lose is irreparable. But she is forever with the Lord, her work is done, her record is on high, and her reward is sure.
